Scissors and shears
Scissors are nothing but a hand held device that is used for cutting papers, threads, clothes etc. The structure and designs of scissors makes it very unique from ordinary cutting blades. It is made out of two blades that are fitted in such a way that it can slide against each other. One end of the scissor contains (two) holes for holding the scissors.
Shears are also similar to scissors but those are bigger in the size. Usually scissors that are more than 15 inches are referred as shears. Unlike scissors, shears are employed to cut things in large scale like clothing and salon. There are different types of shears like pinking shears, pruning shears, thinning shears, trauma shears etc. Pinking shears are used cutting clothes. Pruning shears are used for cutting branches while the thinning shears are used to hair cutting salons. Trauma shears are used for medical purpose in operations.
